Qualified Medical Evaluations

ProCare works with employers and employees through educational programs and various health screenings to promote a healthier, safer workplace. Our services assist companies in creating a work environment that will minimize the probability of injury or accidents.

Qualified medical evaluators (QMEs) are qualified physicians who are certified to examine injured workers to evaluate disability and write medical-legal reports. The reports are used to determine an injured worker's eligibility for workers' compensation benefits.

Not all doctors treat work-related injuries, so be sure that the physician is aware of the specific nature of your appointment. In California, injured employees must be seen by a doctor selected by the employer, eliminating the possibility of conflict. Our QME certified clinicians will document the specifics on an injured workers condition, such as necessitating time off work, job duty modifications, or determining whether they have a permanent injury.

When an independent, objective medical examination is required to evaluate medical issues and assist in conflict resolution, ProCare is available to address your needs with a timely and accurate independent medical evaluation.
